[clamav-users] Submit Detection Stats - Unknown Option

I upgraded to 0.100.1 this afternoon on my Ubuntu 16.04 system via the
newly released Ubuntu package. When starting freshclam I got the
following:

freshclam[11682]: ERROR: Parse error at line 184: Unknown option
SubmitDetectionStats

Ever since this option was added I've used it. I've had a detection
stat host ID for a long time also. Has this option been depreciated?
I've Googled for any information and can't seem to find if it has. This

I seem to recall that the program was deprecated some time ago. Check the archive to confirm. Does it still appear as an option in the sample freshclam.conf?

I'm sorry to say that SubmitDetectionStats was deprecated some time ago. We are actively working on a strategy to provide a replacement mechanism for submitting system and detection stats.

I'm really glad that you're interested in helping the project in that way. We really look forward to getting some of that information back to help our analysts better gauge signature effectiveness and our developers better understand our target audience.

Thanks Al and Micah. I must have missed that post. I'm using my .99.4
.conf files and just commented out the SubmitDetectionStats portion.
